Clever Girls

I was sitting on a bench in a park in my society in the evening today and I noticed something that I enjoyed and it made me realize that girls always have the upper hand when playing with boys. Let me narrate the incident to help you understand what exactly I am trying to say.

There was a group of 4 boys and 2 girls playing cricket. To heat up things they decided to have a girls versus boys match. So the 2 girls formed one team and the 4 boys formed the other. Then it was also agreed, rather the girls made the boys agree to the proposition that they should be given the opportunity to bat first. The boys had no option but to agree to them. The girls batted for a couple of overs and scored just 3 runs before both of them got out. When the boys team came out to bat they hit the first ball for a four and they won the match and it was over. The girls gladly accepted their defeat and asked to start a new match. They also said it was their turn to bat as agreed before the matches started. So they batted again and the poor boys had to field and bowl.

I was sitting there watching all this. I felt pity on the poor boys but that also made me realise that girls are clever and they always have a way to express their domination and have things their way. It was a very good moment and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I walked past them smiling and they smiled back.

KBC the new Ramayana

When I see people watching Kaun Banega Crorepati with such passion and enthsiasm it reminds me of the Ramayan when I was young. I still remember the Sunday mornings when the entire family used to sit together and watch Arun Govil portraying the role of Lord Rama. Today when I was walking across the lane near my house around 9:00 pm I could hear the KBC music playing almost at every house and it reminded me of my childhood memories about Ramayan.

I loved the Ramayan then and I love the KBC now but that shows how things have changed. I love the way Amitabh Bachchan calls out 'Panch Koti Mahamani...Kaun Banega Crorepati'. He is one man who drives the nation crazy and I consider him to be the reason behind the grand success of KBC. I recently heard a news about Sony reaching the 2nd spot in terms of TRP majorly due to the impacts of KBC.

It would not be correct to compare the epic Ramayana with KBC as they are significantly different but the amount of craze that KBC has now was once due to Ramayana. I couldn't stop myself from writing out my feelings after what I noticed tonight. It is just a coincidence but still so true. I so dearly miss being with all my family members and those childhood days.
