Delhi NCR saw its first Rainbow Today

Thank God, finally it rained here in Delhi and Gurgaon. It was just yesterday when I was discussing the fact that Mumbai is getting flooded with water and we are facing a drought. Today it rained to everybody's relief and the merury level fell. I saw a rainbow on my way back from Office in Gurgaon and it was a very nice feeling.

The Rain was good in several sense but it also exposed the possible loop holes. The road under the Dwarka Underpass was already shattered. There was water logging in many parts of Gurgaon. Actually the rain was not as hard as the above scenes make it feel like. It was a good shower for about 90 minutes but nothing more than that. The best part is that the temperatures fall considerably and things looks bright. The trees appear to be fresh and greener as all the dust that had settled on them were washed out.

The big question is can we say that finally the monsoon is here or was this just a passing shower that came in to ignite us temporarily. It would be hell if it was a passing shower and the sun comes out in full bloom tomorrow, the heat that would come out of the ground and extreme rise in the humidity level would make us all sweat and prospire. Lets hope for the best and be optimistic. Having said that I am still keeping my fingers crossed.
